Ruby Jewell Chandler, 94, a resident of New Blaine passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at her home.

She was born July 12, 1922, in New Blaine to the late William Benjamin Harrison and Myrtle Mae (Jones) Parker. Ruby was a member of the New Blaine Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, yard work and her flowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Chandler; a daughter, Elwanda Cassidy; a son, Ollie Wayne Chandler; three sisters, two brothers.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Lee Chandler and his wife, Linda of Paris; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Beasley of New Blaine and Shelby Stengel and her husband, Glen of Paris; two brothers, Winferd ''Buddy'' Carlin Parker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Howard ''Bill Jack'' Carlton Parker of New Blaine; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2017, at the New Blaine Church of Christ with Bro. Darien Downs officiating. Burial will follow in Utley Cemetery near New Blaine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Beasley, Jr., Brad Parker, Cliff Chandler, James Chandler, Quinton Boyles, Allen Boyles. All of her grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

To all the family, of Ruby Jewell, I send my condolences to each one of you. Also to the friends that were also family to her. She lived a full life, and witnessed many things in her long life. In the end she was taken care of nurses and aides at her temperary home. She is home now. God Bless you all.
