Lacine M. Carter, 96, of Subiaco went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 9, 2016, in Paris.
She was born on January 1, 1920, in Subiaco to her parents, Edward and Rose (Wright) Lee. She was a lifelong resident of Subiaco. She was a homemaker and a helper on the farm with her husband, Art for 72 years before his death in 2013. Mom welcomed everyone who came to her door with a warm smile, a drink of water or tea and a cookie or piece of cake. She believed in the biblical teaching of ''love thy neighbor as thyself''.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rose (Wright) Lee, her husband, Art Carter, three siblings, R.C., Imorene Denton, Betty Crider. Lacine is survived by one son, James of Subiaco; one brother, James ''Jake'' Lee of Canyon Country, California and five sisters, Sally Murray of Holland, Michigan, Edna Frank of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rose Kerr of Little Rock, Catherine Bridwell of Phoenix, Arizona and Brenda Watson of Ozark.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the Roller Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Green officiating. Burial will follow in McKendree Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Carter, Jim Kremers, Briton Kerr, Russell Featherston, Sam Forst and Tom Fredrick.
Lacine was a very sweet lady we loved her very much, she will be missed
