Daryl Garrett Horner, 66, a resident of Scranton passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at his home.
He was born December 11, 1949, in Fresno, California to the late R.B. and Edna (Garrett) Horner. Daryl served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he was a career truck driver and former owner of the Strokers Bar in Altus. Daryl was a member of the New Blaine V.F.W. Post 8383. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Horner; a sister, Sherry Benefield and a niece, Christy Horner.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and David Whitaker of Clarksville; a sister, Casey of California; a brother, Randy Horner of Clovis, California; five grandchildren, Kytt Campbell, Brandy Cox, Misty Sparks, Justin Thomas and Jesse Whitaker; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his family at Friendly Tavern in Scranton.
A celebration of life will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Friendly Tavern in Scranton with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard at 3:00 p.m.

Daryl was a wonderful man that always knew how to put a smile on any ones face no matter what kind of mood you were in. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
