Karen Jean Pennington, 61 of Ratcliff, Arkansas passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in Paris. She was born on June 9, 1954 in Paris to her parents Bufford Dorrough and Hope (Williams) Ellington. Karen was a homemaker, loved being outside watching hummingbirds and deer in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Paris.
She is preceded in death by her father Bufford Dorrough.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Rick Pennington of Ratcliff; her mother, Hope Ellington of Paris; one daughter, Michelle Craig and husband Billy of Indianapolis; one son, Chris Pennington and wife Alena of Paris; two brothers, Gary Dorrough of Florida and Steve Dorrough of Paris; six grandchildren, Mykka Bottoms, Mikayla Mitchell, Mikkie Mitchell, Makensy Mitchell, Alec Cole Pennington and Rylee Beth Pennington and five great-grandchildren, Noah, Reed, Emily, Aiden and Hayden.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Paris officiated by Rev. Derek Stinnett. Burial will follow in Baxley Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Farmer, Mason Reed, Erich Fletcher, Dean Orr, Chris Davenport and James Collier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Tygart and Evan Gray.
