Martin O. ''Buck'' Cowley, 87 of New Blaine, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in New Blaine. He was born on December 30, 1928 in Maud, Texas to his parents Edger and Gladys (Stokes) Cowley. He was a retired Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and later worked as a Field Service Engineer for the Civil Service. While in the Marine Corp Buck was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean P.U.C.. He also was a past commander for the VFW, Coway Post and was the VFW state commander from 1998-1999, past grand commander of the MIL order of Cooties and a life member of the, VFW, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Military Order of the Cooties and the American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edger and Gladys (Stokes) Cowley; his wife, Vickie Ann (Holt) Cowley; two sisters, Martha Freeman and Tena Pierce; one brother, Leroy Cowley and one granddaughter, Barbara West.

He is survived by his three daughters, Sheila Burris (Lloyd) of Little Rock, Nita Taylor (Phil) of Little Rock and DeDe Roberts of Clarksville; two sons, Steve Cowley (Monique) of Little Rock and Scott Cowley of Delaware; nine grandchildren, Kevin Doll, Andy Keith, James Tomlin, Michael Tomlin, Dillon Cowley, Meredith Burris, Amy Burris and Allen Cowley and five great-grandchildren, Zoe Doll, Zachary Doll, Quinn Doll, Natalie Cowley and Nicholas Cowley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Beam officiating.

Thank you all for calling and giving us one last visit with Buck. He will live forever in our hearts as he was a true and loyal friend.
They are dancing in heaven and stealing the show once again. Our prayers are with you as you go forward with sweet memories of your father. Never forget how much he loved you all for your own unique and special ways. Always be proud that you are a Cowley!
