Thelma Freeman, 96, a resident of Paris passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, in Paris.
She was born October 6, 1919, in Chismville to the late Benjamin ''Benny'' and Mary Alice (McClure) Hawkins. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Oscar Freeman and a son, Robert Freeman.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene Freeman of Rison and Jerry Freeman of Paris; three daughters, Earline Level of Paris, Mary Powell of Paris and Linda Langston of Paris and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Praying for the family during this difficult time. I have many good memories of going to her house with Niki as a child. She always made me fee l welcomed.

To Mrs. Freeman's family: So sorry to hear of her passing. I grew to love her while mama was in the room with her, and missed her when they put mom in the dementia unit. But that was better for mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, she sure was a sweet lady.
