Henry Saborn Humphries Jr., 63, of Magazine, Arkansas passed away on June 11, 2014 in Danville, Arkansas. He was born on November 14, 1950 in Fort Smith to his parents Henry Saborn Humphries Sr. and Ernestine (Miller) Plank. He received his Doctorate in Psychology from the Forrest Institute in Springfield Missouri and was of the Baptist Faith. Henry served two and a half tours in Vietnam with the United States Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and Meritorious Unit Commendation.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Saborn Humphries Sr., Mother and step father Ernestine and Lewis Plank; mother and father in law, Willard and Charlene Downs and brother in law Oneal Downs.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Charlotte K. (Downs) Humphries of Magazine; one daughter, Dea'na Gremillion and husband Bobby of Paris; two sons, Darin Wesley Cox of Magazine and Michael Saborn Humphries of Magazine; one sister, Rebecca Young and husband Rev. Paul Young of Gravette; two brothers, William Humphries of Fort Smith and Jerry Lee Humphries and wife Linda of Van Buren; one aunt, Mandy Dahl; five grandchildren, Ethan Hughes, Jake Gremillion, Hailey Gremillion, Destiny Rose Blount and Serena Winter Cox, twenty nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel offiated by Rev. Paul Young and Rev. Bob Ellis. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Magazine with Military Honors under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Paul Sims, Keith Downs, Bobby Gremillion, Quentin Hice, Joe Humphries, Kip Hice and Josh Downs.
Honorary pallbearer will be John Garner.
