I am so thankful to have had such a loving "Aunt Dot" and the enjoyment of times visiting North Little Rock in our childhood. Unlike my older brother, Steve, my memories are simpler , less specific, conjuring images of swimming in the neighborhood lake, being introduced to ICEES and enjoying the simple cooking of a woman who could make a leather shoe taste great. She was adored by my mother, her youngest sister, and the rest of the extended family.
All these years later I especially appreciate the simple pleasure she shared in showing rambunctious boys how to make a toy parachute with a plastic "army man", a standard napkin and 4 lengths of sewing thread. What a fantastic toy!
Rest well, Aunt Dot, and enjoy the reunion with so many loved ones.

My dear Aunt "Dot", I have so many memories of good times with you and at your home.
Visiting always meant a trip to the City and walks around the Lakes of Lakewood. It usually meant having your famous green enchilada casserole. I can still see and smell it. You took me to my first Wal-Mart in NLR....got to see Razorback games at War Memorial Stadium and Uncle John always had war stories to tell.
You even let me plant some shrubs at your house to indulge my hobby.
Bless you for your suffering the past few years. I hope you are now with your mom and sisters. You all loved each other so much and spread that love to us.
You had a very full llfe and I'm glad you are now at peace.
Your loving nephew, Steve
Much love to cousins Phyllis and Jeri Sue

Jerri, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet and beautiful mother. You have a very special bond with your mom and she will forever be tucked away in your heart. You have a lot of friends and family that loves you to lean on.
