Margie J Williams

of Jacksonville, AR

August 26, 1926 - June 16, 2018

Margie Wilson Williams was born August 26, 1926, the 7th of eight children born to Arthur and Lillian Wilson. She was joined minutes later by her eighth sibling her twin brother, Major, who survives her. The widow of Coy Williams, she is survived by her children Linda (Frank) Beach, Steve Williams, and Kimberly Williams (Charles Taylor). Her son, Larry Williams, predeceased her.

On June 16, 2018 Margie bade the final farewell in her long goodbye on the 49th anniversary of Larry's passing.

Margie is also survived by her grandchildren Angela (Trey) Reed, Jaclyn (Lance) Greeson, Alex (Tamra) Taylor, Vincent (Mara) Taylor and her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Maddox, Bennett, Adrian, Jomary and Jarelys.

Margie loved Jesus and was a strong and faithful Christian. She was a beautiful child, given to building toad houses and singing sweetly with her sisters. During her life she was notoriously feisty, speaking her mind to one and all, holding little back . . . especially folks who took themselves a little too seriously. She loved cats and frogs and family, not necessarily in that order.

Despite the hard times she survived, she spoke mostly of the good times and more often than not had us laughing uproariously. Coy always knew when family came to visit he could hear us cackling from the back forty.

She retained her sense of humor even as her health failed, and surely has it still, chortling her way into her next adventure. The family will be forever grateful for the kind and loving care provided by the staff at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Baptist Hospice.
The measure of a life well lived is the depth of love, given and received. Margie loved, and is deeply loved by those of us family and friends privileged to twirl in her orbit. Hers is a life well lived.

We mourn the loss of that great laugh, her quick hugs, her pointed barbs, and all that is ''Marge''. We find peace in her peace.
We will miss her profoundly.

Visitation on Thursday, June 21 from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., as well as the Celebration of Margie's Life on Friday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m., will both take place at Roller-Owen Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd. North Little Rock, AR 72116.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, the Levy Church of Christ Ministries, or a charity of the donor's choice.

God bless this this sweet soul. I will treasure the many years of her funny stories, and just all around conversations we had. Loved being her neighbor for over 30 years, so you know we had a lot of chats. I've already missed her. Kim and Steven we know y'all personally (feel like I know the rest of you too) our heart goes out to all of you. We will keep all of you in our prayers. Ms Margie is and will be missed.
Sincerely Tracy & Debi Dobbins

The obituary clearly describes my Aunt Margie. She had the quickest wit of anyone I knew and did not mine zinging you. Will miss her infectious smile and her pickled squash!
