Alan Richard Baker, age 65, of North Little Rock, passed away on February 9, 2018. He was born to the late William and Delores Baker on February 21, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois.

Alan was a man of honor, of Catholic faith, who was proud to have served his country for five years in the United States Army. Being very patriotic, he was very active with the VFW. Alan was a wonderful father and loving grandfather, with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Loretta Baker and Rosanne Baker and one son; Lloyd Lee Cherry Jr. He is survived by one daughter; Valerie (Geoffrey) Blair, five grandchildren; Alex Wade, Alexie Thompson, Vanessa Cherry, Lane Rainwater and Kenzey Wood, one great-grandchild; Rylee Jade Cherry, three brothers; Billy Baker, Phillip Baker, Kenny Baker, step-daughter; Tiffany Fowler, special friends; Edie Drake and Susan Baker.

Graveside Service with military honors will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock. Funeral arrangements under the direction of: Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, (501)791-7400.
