Barbara Bell Arnold (Sherwood, Arkansas), ''Sis'', ''Mom'', and ''Mamaw'' as many knew her, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the age of 88.
Barbara loved her family deeply and left few things unplanned. She is survived by Kenneth Earl Arnold, her son, and his wife Terry of Jacksonville; her grandson Andy Arnold, and his wife Danya of Bryant; her granddaughter Ami Arnold of Jacksonville; and four great-grandchildren, Emory, Cooper, Hudson, and Summerlea. She is preceded in death by her husband Bobbie ''Bob'' Earl Arnold, her parents Herbert H. and Thelma Peters, her son Larry Earl Arnold, her sister Clara Henry, and her brother Earl Peters.
Barbara was born on July 23, 1929 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1947. She married Bob, a USMC Gunnery Sergeant, in 1949, and celebrated their 56th anniversary in 2005. Barbara worked for the State Department, Baptist Book Store, Magic Mart, and Sterling Stores as an advertising copy writer and proof reader. She was an active volunteer at Baptist Medical Center, a BMC Auxiliary member since 1972, and a member of the 55 Plus and Instep clubs. She was an active and dedicated member of Victory Baptist Church.
A visitation is scheduled from 12:00 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400) in North Little Rock, with a funeral service at 1:00 in the chapel. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Bro. Robert Harris will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara's life.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church of Sherwood, Arkansas. The family would like to thank Hospice Home Health for their loving care and dedication.

Dear Ken & Terry and family -- We know how hard this is; we've both been there. Mothers are special beyond words! We are praying that the Lord will comfort you as only He can and give you peace. Barbara was a wonderful and sweet lady and neighbor. It's our loss that we didn't visit more often. She will always be remembered.
