John "Uncle Johnny" Arthur Schock

of North Little Rock, AR

June 22, 1955 - September 22, 2017

John Arthur Schock, AKA: ''Uncle Johnny'', passed away peacefully at home at the age of 62, on September 22, 2017. He was born to the Henry and Floydie Schock, on June 22, 1955.

Johnny, was a man of many talents and a jack of all trades. He loved his family, his friends, a '79 Dodge van and his Dobermans. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool and was of the Baptist faith. He was known for his humor that was at times, quite inappropriate but so hilariously funny. Johnny was the type of guy who even made fun of himself at times, he was a small man in size (with a big heart) and often joked candidly about his height, he joked about how unbelievably accident prone he was and how many times he used up his ''9 lives''. His family thinks fondly on these times (sometimes just shaking their heads) and has stated that Johnny was above all else, loving. Doris, his sister stated that ''Johnny was a mama's boy and proud of it!'' So of course when his mama passed, he took it extremely hard. Not one to give up on life, Johnny was told numerous times by doctors that he wouldn't live past a certain age if he didn't get a liver transplant. That was not a hard decision to make, since he wanted to stick around much longer for his son; Jeremy. And he did because he was a man of his word! Johnny, adored his son and grandkids and he kept going because of them. He fought long and hard, all for love!

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; his three siblings who died in infancy (one of them being his twin brother).

He is survived by his son; Jeremy Schock, his sister; Doris Sibert, two grandchildren; Jacey Schock and Emanuel Holmes, along with numerous additional family and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Arkansas Hospice for caring for Johnny with so much love and dedication.

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" ( 3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, (4 ) who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God
