April 15, 1925 - July 30, 2017
June Turney Johnson, 92, of North Little Rock, went home to be with the Lord July 30, 2017. She was born April 15, 1925 to Henry Martin and Iris DeBusk Turney in Pearson. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 64 years, Roy William Johnson; her parents; brother, Lisle Turney; and sister, Earlene Wawak.
June was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, where she worked in the day care for over 15 years. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with her family throughout the United States and Europe.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Johnson (Beverly) of Heber Springs, Kent Johnson of North Little Rock; daughter, Brenda South (Greg) of Decatur, AL; four grandchildren: Cara Long (Justin), Catherine Anne Singleton (Matt), Jonathan Lee South (Kay), Justin Gregory South (Jessica); six great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday August 4, 2017, at Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East ''C'' Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116. Burial will be at 11:30 AM, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Pearson Cemetery in Quitman. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday August 3, 2017 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
The family would like to thank the staff, residents and families of Woodland Hills of Jacksonville for the care and friendships provided Miss June. They would also like to thank the staff of Kindred Hospice.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I loved her for so many years - from playing at your house, to playing golf with her, and onto daycare of my sons at PHBC. She was such a special lady and friend. Please know that I am praying for peace and comfort for your family. Donna Bosley.
Brenda, I remember your mom, her smile and beautiful spirit. You are her legacy, being such a kind and wonderful friend to me and to everyone you came in contact with. I pray that precious memories soon ease the sadness of this day. Blessings and condolences to you and to all the family.
