Dearest Sue, having only met you one time at a high school reunion I could tell the love Howard felt for you that day. I was in high school with Howard and thought the world of him. He was truly a wonderful person then and I know that he was in adulthood as well. My fondest memory of Howard was when he and I had a picture taken after a football game by a reporter after a loss of a game very important to all Warriors. I was a cherokee and he a football player, a big football player, I still have that photo in my hall along with all of our family photos as a great memory. I am sorry for your loos as I am sure it was way to soon. I will keep you in my thoughts. Ina Counts Ward class of 67.

It's hard to believe that Big Mo has left us. Like many I have images of him as a Hall High Warrior. Size, strength and dedication along with a smile as big as his frame. But, the thing I'll remember him most for are his spiritual messages on Facebook. I looked forward to his "this is the day the Lord has made" greeting every Sunday and other encouragements throughout the week. Sue, he left a big mark on life. You're in my prayers.

As a (then) skinny running back, I always felt protected by Howard's presence on the Hall High football field. He was always the first to lead the team in singing "We are the Warriors" on the bus trip home. I enjoyed working with him briefly last year and was looking forward to our 50 year reunion. Howard was a good man. He will be missed.
