Max was a special man and it was a blessing to know him. He was a special friend as well as a co-worker. We shared the treasurer duties at First Presbyterian for many many years. I was able to hear many stories of early Jacksonville, lots of memories of all his family and enjoy his humor in so many ways. We had to sign the report of the offerings and he would have to decide who he was going to be & would proceed to write his name backwards for that day. Several friends and I went to see him several weeks ago - a wonderful visit and as always he was Max!
Both he and your Mom were very special to me and I miss them both!
