April 7, 1921 - September 3, 2016

Doris Goodman Burkett, 95, of Lubbock, TX, formally of North Little Rock, AR, completed her assignment on Earth as a caring and compassionate angel and returned to Heaven on September 3, 2016. She was born to the late William Everett and Beulah Erma Slaten Goodman on April 7, 1921 in Romance, AR. She married Troy Eudell Burkett in 1939 and they shared a life of love and joy for 54 years.

She is survived by daughter, Carolyn Chapman and son-in-law, William Earl Chapman of Lubbock, TX; granddaughter, Alexis Meredith Sparling of Brooklyn, NY and grandson, Kurt Chapman and family of Post, TX, as well as, other extended family members.

Funeral service will be at Roller-Owens Funeral Home. Address: 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR (501-791-7400) Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. Carolyn, I am so very sorry, for the loss of your mom. I was blessed to be considered Doris' friend, and am so saddened by her passing. She was was such a kind, compassionate woman, who was admired by many. Sending heartfelt condolences and prayers, to you, and your family. R.I.P. and love, sweet Doris.

Carolyn, I am sorry for your loss. Doris and Mom were such great friends for so many years and I will always love her and the relationship they shared.
