Mr.Bradley was a giant in my life. As a very little girl, he was the tallest person I knew, but he was also great in personality and character. He was my friend Karen Sue’s daddy and I spent many happy Sunday afternoons and sleepovers at the Bradleys’ house. We had many adventures in the big back yard, rolling down the grassy hill to the “creek” at the bottom, going to the Old Mill, and eating Sunday dinners which he so wondrously prepared. He taught us in “DTU” (Doctrinal Training Union) for many years and he must have had the patience of Job to put up with us rowdy kids for so long. He was a man of impeccable character with a servant heart.
I will always remember his great laugh! When he got really tickled about something his laugh would fill the room!
He and Mrs. Dorothy were good friends to my parents and so many others at Central Baptist, and he served as a pallbearer at my sweet daddy’s funeral. I’m sure they have found each other in Heaven by now and are having a great reunion.
To Karen, Bruce, Janet and Laura – I know your grief is also tempered by the comfort of knowing that he is with his beloved Lord and Savior, and that this separation is temporary. We have so many memories to hold in our hearts until we all meet again.
With much love,
Carol

Karen and Family:

So sorry to shear about the passing of JW. So many great memories of him. My Sunday School teacher of the High School boys class to him being Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 555. He was on the Troop Committee when the Troop started to my appointment as Scoutmaster eight years later.
He was Mom & Dad’s and my insurance agent for many many years including when I turned 16 to the several years after I was married. We rocked along through tough times at Central – LR and were still close even after we both left Central LR. He and Dorothy came to Garland, TX to my ordination as a deacon at New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland to which I greatly appreciated.

I could go on and on. May you find comfort in the Lord now and in the future as you think about the memories you have. God bless you all.
