I have so many wonderful memories of Bonita and her cousin, Mary (my mother), sitting at the kitchen table talking while drinking coffee. There was always a lot of laughter as I sat quietly listening to every word.

As an adult, I remember the long telephone conversations about our Christian beliefs. One day I called her up about being afraid to stand before the Sunday School class to add to the lesson. She told me to write down Emmanuel "God is with us". And to this day I still do that.

I'm so sorry to have missed the service, I would have loved to meet you and your family that she so loved.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Lorish was 'an institution' in our Edgemont Neighborhood. She and Mr. L. were splendid folks, respected, admired and beloved by all. We knew her from the library; from walking her dog; and from when she attended the parties we used to host so long ago. What a pretty, sweet lady!

Everyone took note of her devotion to Mr. L. following his stroke. Mrs. Lorish presented a marvelous, loving caregiver. She was a sterling example of Christian womanhood and my household considers itself - as do all the long time neighbors on Dooley Rd and Skyline Drive - 'as having been blessed' because of her presence. Prayers and Sympathy to all...

For many years Bonita and I have visited in the hall at church. We never worked on the same committee and weren't in the same Sunday School class. Yet, she always had a ready smile, a sweet word and beautiful twinkling eyes as met. She was a precious blessing to all of us at church we will truly miss her lovely presence.
