Wayne M. Bridge, 91, of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015.
He was born in Lake Mills, WI to the late Russell and Dorothy Bridge. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nadine Henchens and his son-in-law, Ted KnigntenEL.
Wayne retired from GTE Phone Company in California. He was of the Methodist faith and a veteran of US Air Force. Wayne also served during World War II, flying 52 missions on a B25. He met his loving wife of 23 years on a cruise ship to Hawaii; they later married at Levy United Methodist Church on June 1, 1991.
Wayne was a fun loving guy who loved to dance and smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Bridge; two daughters, Ingrid Schmidt (Eric) and Kaarin KnighntenEL; two stepsons, David Freeman (Valerie) and Billy Freeman (Kim); grandchildren, Hannah and Anya Schmidt, Beau Freeman (Meagan), Summer and Ashley Freeman; and a great-grandchild due in August; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2015
At Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. , North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400) . Memorial service at 3:30 to follow the visitation at the funeral home.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Research Center, Rockefeller Cancer Institute, 4301 W. Markham, Slot #623F, Little Rock, AR 72205 or Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little, AR 72116.
I would like to express my sincere condolences to the loss of your loved one.In the scriptures Job 14:14,15 and John 5:28, God promises that he will resurrect our loved ones in the near future .I hope that Jehovah , the God of comfort grant you peace.
I am so sorry and sad to hear of Cousin Wayne's passing. He always had a smile and so pleasant to be around. I enjoyed your visits up here and the visits in N Little Rock. Also the visit at Nadine's with his mom Aunt Dorothy was a special time. I have many memories of Wayne and his family that will always bring a smile to me.

This was a great man who shared many people's lives. I know he loved us as he did many of his friends. Now he and Hugh can continue to visit, laugh, and nap! God Bless them both.
Polly and family, I am so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He was such a dear man who always seemed to have a smile on his face, and he always tried to make others smile as well. He had a heart of gold and put other people's wishes above his own. We have lost a dear man. God bless you in this time and give you peace.
