Bill was a true friend as we were in apprenticeship class together. We also worked some together through Local union 285 of IBEW.
Very fond of the Sory's too as Ardell was in my family and built our house. With sympathy

Kristy, I'm just so sorry for your loss. I know words cannot really comfort you right now. But in days and weeks and months to come you will reach the places that allow you to laugh and rejoice in all the wonderful times y'all have had together. Your dad is with our Lord now and his comfort is complete.

Deepest sympathy to Joyce, and Girls (ladies)Kristy, and Lisa. We are at a loss for words, to express our sadness. Have known Richard, (never knew his name was Billy), for almost 50 years. Would see him mostly at family functions, such as decoration. Remember his big laugh, and booming voice. He was well versed in many subjects, so one was never at a loss for conversation. We Laura & I keenly regret to learn of his passing. Rest in peace old friend, you have richly earned it.

Dearest Lisa,

I can completely understand how you are feeling at this sad time and share in your grief but am glad you were with your Dad at the end. I truly believe your move back home was preordained for a reason. Take good care of your mother and know that as time goes on your memories will be brighter and the sadness will lessen. I wish I were there with you.

Richard, as you well know we met more than sixty years ago playing in a creek that ran through our neighborhood. We went to grade school, junior and senior high school together. We discovered girls at the same time and had fun times together as teenagers. We got married about the same time and we still have the same wives we started with. We both raised families and soon after retirement we started having weekly luncheons and harassed the waitress. To say I will miss you sounds ridicules, so I will just say Richard tell Rayburn I will see both of you later.

This was the most loving man. He was funny at times and very serious at others. He was a good man, but one that had to put up with lots of pain. He is with our Lord now and Pain Free. He took me in as if he was my Dad. I will never, ever forget you Poppa Leftwich. May you enjoy your days until we all meet again. I love you and will miss you greatly May God watch over your family and comfort their hearts.
