D. Jackie Plant (Nanny), 89, of Benton, Arkansas went peacefully to be with Jesus, her Savior, and Tata, her husband on July19, 2014. She was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on December 14, 1924 to Donald Lee and Ida Rae Kendrick. Jackie was an active member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Benton, Arkansas.
Jackie married her high school sweetheart, Jim Plant. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and known by many as ''Nanny.'' Known to be a peacemaker and to never say a negative word about anyone.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Gary) Jenkins; son, Jerry (Shirley) Plant; brother, Jim (Jerry) Kendrick; sister-in-law, Frances Henderson, as well as eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Monday, July 21, at 11:00 A.M. at Edgewood Cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements are by Roller-Owens, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas (501-791-7400). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 5408 Alcoa Road, Benton AR 72015.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of this dear lady. She was a precious friend as well as cousin of my Mother, Bobbye Smith. My prayers are with the family as you say goodbye and we will see you someday in Heaven. All my love Nancy Hastings
