Betty Jean Gaines, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born December 6, 1934 to parents John C. Gill and Hazel A. Gill of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Betty was the widow of Willard Bailey Gaines Jr. Betty leaves behind two daughters; Rebecca Jean Reynolds of Sweeny, Texas and Brenda Ann (Melvin Ray) Sweeny also of Sweeny, Texas. She will be greatly missed by four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, David Alan Gaines.

Lois and I were so sorry to hear of Betty Jean’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
