Ruth Arlene "Ruthie" Pearson of Proctor, Arkansas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the age of 73. Ruth was born May 11, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Elmer and Marie Hicks. She later met the love of her life and married James Pearson. The two enjoyed the next 57 years together loving and nurturing their own family. Ruth was known as the family caretaker. She always had a positive attitude. Negative words weren't in her vocabulary which her family respected. Simply put, Ruth meant the world to her family. She was the greatest mom, grandmother and great grandmother ever. Ruth is survived by her husband James, two daughters; Ruth Ann "Missy" Armour (Joseph) and Leaha Pearson. She also leaves behind one sister, Della Burton and one brother, Robert Hicks (Millie). She will also be dearly missed by five grandchildren; Nicole, Brandon, Blake, Brittany and Bailey along with two great grandchildren; Isaias and Gabriel as well as her lifelong friend, Peggy Atkinson. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her son James C. "Chip" Pearson Jr., and two sisters; Virginia Walker and Delores Hicks.
