Virginia Lee Phillips, age 87 of West Memphis, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 6, 2017. Virginia was born March 18, 1930 to parents Roy and Lula Jackson in Black Oak, Arkansas. Virginia went on to meet and marry the love of her life Herbert Edward Martin and spent the next 11 years together before the Lord called him home. Virginia was a member of the West Memphis First Baptist Church and spent her life serving our God. She was a homemaker and was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother ever. She loved to sew, cook and care for her family. Virginia leaves behind two daughters; Edwina Graves (Terry) of West Memphis and Sue Hubbard (Kary) of Jacksonville, Arkansas. She will be missed by a sister Elizabeth Jackson of Gideon, Missouri and two brothers; Harold Jackson (Laura) of Doniphan, Missouri and Glen Jackson (Patricia) of Bentonville, Arkansas. Virginia will also be dearly missed by 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers; James Jackson, Louis Jackson, Sammy Jackson and one sister, Evelyn Hartwick.
