Cody Lane Smith, 18, Marion was born April 11, 1999 in Memphis and entered into his eternal rest on October 29, 2017 in his hometown he loved dearly.
Cody was known to all as a respectful, proud, dedicated and funny young man. He was always known as the life of the party and for sure was 110[%] a momma's boy.
Cody loved fishing, hunting, and riding four-wheelers.
In all of the loves of his life one that was known to most was his love and passion for the game of baseball.
Cody graduated Marion High School Class of 2017 where he proudly wore jersey #15 for Marion baseball.
Cody recently had entered his college studies at ASU-Mid South registered nurse program continuing his passion of serving and helping others in need.
He is survived by his father Anthony Smith and his mother and step-father Brandi and Kevin Kemp of Marion. Also surviving are two sisters; Camie Bentley and Lilly Kemp along with one brother; Luke Kemp all of Marion. Cody is also survived by grandparents Glenda and Billy Walker, Candy and Larry Warhurst, and Lisa and Roland Gamble along with 5 uncles, 5 aunts, along with many extended family and his ''tribe''.
The family will receive their friends from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm Thursday November 2, 2017 at First Baptist Church of West Memphis.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday November 3, 2017 also at the church sanctuary with Brother Billy Beech officiating.
Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in memory of Cody can be made to a cause he loved very much, Marion High School Baseball Team 1 Patriot Drive , Marion, AR 72364.
I can't think of anything to say except I Cody was a great ball player and a greater friend. Hope to see you in heaven soon -- friends always--JJ

I'm so so very sorry. As a Mother,I don't know what to say to you and the family.I remember when our boys all played baseball together. Please know prayers are with your family and close friends to Cody. Again all I know to say is I'm so sorry.
I didn't really know cody, but in a way i did. I knew he was sweet, caring and loved by so many people. I hope this sweet sweet family gets some relief from this horrible loss. Ya'll will be in my thoughts and prayers.
