Charles E. Yurick Jr of Memphis TN was born in Detroit, MI on May 19, 1970 and passed from this earth of suffering to complete healing on March 23, 2017.

Charles, for now, leaves behind the love of his life Kenneth Nelson. Charles is the son of Sandra Morgan Prange and step father Burt of West Jefferson, NC and Charles E Yurick and step mom Marlene of Dandridge, TN; his sister Christa Windley, husband Ben and nephews Noah and Jonah Windley of Grimesland, NC; grandfather Charles Yurick of Uniontown PA; uncles John Yurick of Maui, HI and Rick Yurick of Uniontown, PA; and his aunt Betty Collins of Blountville, TN; step brother Ben Spina and wife Kate of Vaughn, WA; Kenneth's father Richard Nelson and step mom Ava of Cherokee Village, AR; Kenneth's brother Brad Nelson and wife Kelly; a niece and nephews Grace, Brady, and Blake Nelson of Fayetteville, AR. Charles also had many cousins.

Charles was preceeded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Yurick, grandparents Thomas and Ada Morgan and Kenneth's mom Diane Nelson. He was employed at the Memphis Zoo which allowed him to be around God's creation of nature. Charles loved being with family hiking in the Canadian Rockies, snorkeling in Maui, biking, and many other outdoor activities. He loved being around family and adored his pets Makena and Bella. He was also a big fan of the Tennessee Vols. Charles was a strong believer with deep faith in God. He was an inspiration and one of the most thoughtful and kind friends anyone could have. Charles was a warrior who fought cancer for 9 years. He is now healed and with family in Heaven. Praise God for His mercy and peace that surpasses all understanding.

Special thanks to Dr. Morgan and staff at Vanderbilt and Dr. Muir and staff at Germantown Methodist. Special thanks to Rebecca Santa Maria, a very caring nurse at Vanderbilt, who is now called friend. Thank you all for your cards, calls, prayers, and encouragement over these years.
