Robert Christopher Thurmond, 52, of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas formerly of West Memphis, died August 18, 2016 in West Plains, Missouri.
Mr. Thurmond was of the Methodist Faith and worked as an auto upholster for Don's Upholstery in Memphis, Tn.
He is survived by his wife Karen Jo Thurmond of Mammoth Springs, AR; a son Alex Thurmond of West Memphis, AR; two step sons, Justin Baxter and Stephen Miller, a step daughter, Lauren Young all of Munford, TN; his mother, Martha Simpson (Jerry) of Horseshoe Lake, AR; his father, Walter Eugene Thurmond of West Memphis, AR; two brothers, Gene Thurmond(Tina)of Proctor, AR; and Pat Thurmond of West Memphis, AR; a half-brother, Miles Jacobi (Jennifer) Harrodsburg, KY: and five grandchildren.

Words can not express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. Chris and my cousin Neil (Bruce) were best friends and after our tragic loss of Neil, Chris stayed in our family and was always there. Alex my dear I remember the first day you and my son Cody (Ninemire) started "K" together, your father and I laughed so hard as we thought of you and Cody acting like him and Neil. He loved you dearly. We love you and are praying for your family.
