Jacob Jeffrey Albers

of West Memphis, AR

March 9, 1957 - April 24, 2016

Jacob Albers, 59, left this life peacefully, but far too early. He went by "Jake" until he met his bride Connie who liked Jacob better. It stuck and so did they. For 33 years. Their daughter, the light of his life, Katherine Elisabeth "Katie" was born October 1, 1989 and nothing would ever be the same. We know Jacob stood at those pearly gates and asked "Couldn't this have waited one more week? Just to see her graduate?"
He was so very proud of his Dr Katie.

Jacob had a life long love of learning and remembered everything he read. He could still quote the entire "Alice's Restaurant". Jacob also had a love of numbers which he put to good use for the past seven years at Ampro Industries as a Data Manager where he will be missed by all.

In his spare time Jacob enjoyed bluegrass music and playing the banjo. He made beautiful pens, and if you were lucky enough to receive one it was a privilege. Jacob loved history and politics and hated political correctness, just check out his fb page. He loved God, Central Barbecue ribs, and fried food.

Jacob was an original in an age of generics and we were blessed to have known him.

Jacob was born in Little Rock, AR to the late Alan and Jackie Albers.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Connie Davis Albers of West Memphis, AR, his daughter, Dr. Katie Albers of Livonia, MI, and brothers Phillip (Cheryl) Albers of West Memphis, AR, and Charles Albers of Little Rock, AR.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the
words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 "(3) With that I heard
a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God
is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they
will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
(4 ) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and
death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry
nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

I was blessed to have known and worked with Jacob for many years at Ampro Industries. We were always very impressed by what he could do and how well he could do it. He took great pride in his work and his pleasant attitude will be greatly missed by all. As a family, we are extremely hurt by this sudden departure and can only pray that God fill the physical void with the comfort of precious memories.

He was so proud of his family, especially his daughter. Though he will not be present to watch her walk across the stage, know that his presence will be with her - escorting her as she takes those steps to receive her degree.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you so much for sharing him with us.
