June 13, 1938 - November 19, 2015
Rev. John T. Walter, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2015. Rev. Walter was called to preach in San Angelo, TX in 1965 and faithfully served his Lord, while pastoring at 8 churches in 4 different states, the last of which was Immanuel Baptist Church in Marion, AR. The Lord used him to touch hundreds, who either entered into or grew in their relationship with Christ. He is survived by: Roberta his wife, who was the apple of his eye for 56 years; 4 children, and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Our deepest sympathy to Roberta and Family, our Prayers are with you .
1 Corinthians 15:55
O death where is thy sting ? O grave , where is thy victory ?
Psalm 116 : 15
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
Roberta and family, there are not enough words to describe how happy Uncle John must be in heaven. I will miss him but I know that he is rejoicing with many family and friends that left this Earth before him. I wish each of you peace and may God continue to Bless each of you. With Love, Johnny, son of Lorene
Our deepest sympathy to Roberta and children in the loss of John. He will be missed by many.

The Congregation of Mt. Zion Baptist Church would like to give our condolences and heart felt prayers to the Walter's Family for their loss. Rev. Walter was a great man of God who taught the Word of God with great conviction and passion. He gave his all and then some to the ministry while serving here at Mt. Zion. We will miss him, but also know that he is with our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ and we all will one day see him again. In that we have the greatest peace of all.
Roberta and family,
Our prayers and condolences at the passing of John. He was a faithful messenger of Gods word and now is with his Lord.
