In 2012, I was in Georgetown, AR for genealogy research. A neighbor noticed me taking notes from a sign posted near a Church, and upon learning of my mission suggested that I knock on the Cleaver residence door on the adjacent street -- since, "Polly is the town Historian." Mrs. Cleaver answered the door, followed by her husband, Sam. Sam overheard my (deceased in 1937) great-grandfather's name, and instantly remarked something that only someone who knew my great-grandfather would know! How can anything be more astonishing than to randomly encounter someone with childhood memories of your great-grandfather that has been deceased for 75-years! So, I eagerly accepted Mrs. Cleaver's invitation for some iced-tea; which was followed by some lovely conversation about their retirement to Georgetown from Michigan, and Mr. Cleaver's childhood recollections of Georgetown and my great-grandfather. Everytime I think about my visit with Mr.& Mrs. Cleaver, it seems too fantastic to have been real. This is by far one of my favorite memories.

I am so very sorry for your loss. At this difficult time, please take comfort in knowing God's promise of the resurrection at Acts 24:15 - "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." We can look forward to seeing our loved ones again soon.

Pauline was one of my favorite aunts. She was kind to everyone, treated everyone with respect, and when you were around her she made you feel like you were the most important person. We will miss her.
