I was so sorry to hear about the passing of L.V. He was a good friend of our family's for many years and was especially close with my dad, Wyatt Jones. The two of them spent many hours fishing - even traveling to Alaska to fish. Your dad was a good man and will be missed by many.

With Sympathy,
Kevin Jones

Dear Derrick and Sherry,

Your mom and dad were dear friends to me. I don't know if you remember me, but I lived with them my last semester of college and stayed in their home while they were in Italy.

L.V. married my husband and I in 1981.

Your mom was so much fun, she was the sponsor of my social club and your dad taught one of my Bible classes, "The Christian Home". L.V. was just a good man, a godly servant, and wonderful example to all who knew him!

It's sad they are no longer with us, but I know the angels are rejoicing at the wonderful servant that joined them this week! Much love to the two of you and all your wonderful children.

Please know that many of us were blessed just having them in our lives during our short stays at Harding. They truly were unforgettable!!

The Anderson's want you to know of our deep love and appreciation for your family. L.V. and Maxine were great friends and faithful workers in the Lord's kingdom. Their friendship with my parents from the early days at Abilene, then to the mission field, to Dallas, and finally here in Searcy has certainly been a blessing. I consider L.V. as one of my great mentors in faith. Thank God for his friendship.
