We got to meet Mr. Eldon at Oakdale Nursing home where he shared a room with my Dad. We only knew him for a very short time, but what a pleasure it was to talk to him. When telling us about his military career as a flight engineer he said "all those pilots knew how to do was FLY the planes".. and it was up to him to do all the rest. I have no doubt he did!
So sorry for your loss, Sharon. Prayers for you and your family. It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband as well.

I have so many fond memories of Eldon. I never saw him without a smile on his face. He was usually into mischief. He and Bonnie were lifelong friends with my Uncle Frank and Aunt Helen. I grew up thinking they were family too. We had plenty of fun hanging out at the White River in Augusta, eating those fish he and Uncle Frank caught. I know Eldon has finally earned his reward and is reunited with the love of his life, Mrs. Sweet Bonnie, and they are both whole now. Prayers for Sharon and Ryan and the rest of the family during this difficult time.
