Allen Clark (A.C.) Gibbons was born October 24, 1935 in Dyersburg Tennessee to the late John Rex and Lorene (Clark) Gibbons. He passed from this life October 14, 2016 at the age of 80.
A.C. was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He worked 25 years for IBM as a Customer Service Engineer in Little Rock. He retired from IBM in 1991 and moved to Long Beach Mississippi where he managed Beatline Road Mini-Storage. A.C. had a great fondness for music and taught himself to play the guitar and fiddle. He was a member of the Pineview Church of Christ as well as the Long Beach Church of Christ in Long Beach, Mississippi.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Vada Smith Gibbons; children, Sarah (Stephen) McNally of Long Beach, Mississippi and Allen (Kristy) Gibbons, Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Vada (Charlie) Buckley, Owen (Lindsay) McNally, Micah (Bailey) McNally, Callian (Jacob) Robinson, Katelyn McNally and John Michael Gibbons; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Reilly Allen and Levi Buckley, Irene McNally and Makenna Robinson.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 at Pineview Church of Christ with Brother Fred Eadens officiating. Interment will follow in the Howell Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

A.C. was always kind to me. I appreciated his conservation of words. He seemed only to speak when he had something worth saying. He raised one of my dearest friends and for this I am grateful. His wife is the picture of a gentle and beautiful woman. His legacy is something any man would be proud of. May God comfort this precious family

Sorry for your loss, the Bible shows a real hope of being reunited with your dead loved ones. John 5:28, 29 assures us that Jesus will restore life to those who has died. Revelation 21:3, 4 gives further assurances that death will be swallowed up up forever. These are wonderful blessings to look forward to. Hope this thought brings comfort.
