Delmer Johnson, 97 was born to Woodson and Elie Free Johnson on December 18, 1918 in Joy, Arkansas.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Searcy and he was retired from the Shoe Factory. He loved gardening and working in his yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, James D. Johnson, a brother, Alfred Johnson and a twin sister, Velma Campbell.
He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Marie Johnson, a daughter, Phronda Ray of Benton, a granddaughter, Ramona Thomas (Anthony) of Goose Creek, South Carolina, three great-grandchildren, Jessica Meyers, (Sean), Eric Agee, Haden Thomas, one great-great-granddaughter, Kylee Agee, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Searcy. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
