Barbara Charlotte Toler, age 84, passed peacefully from this life to her eternal home on August 1, 2016. She was born in Doniphan, Arkansas on April 5, 1932 and loved being a ''Doniphan Chick.'' Affectionately known as ''Babs'', she graduated from Kensett High School and worked for many years at Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad. She was a long-time resident of Kensett and an avid Razorback and NASCAR fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Grace Hodges, of Kensett. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Palmer and her husband, Martin, three children, Charlotte Toler, Terry Toler and his wife Donna, Sherre Toler Joyner and her husband, Joe. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Michael, Stephen and his wife Angie, Jonathan Toler, and Trey Lewellyn and one great-grandchild, Joshua Toler. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Connie Herrin, Julie Wingard, Marty Palmer and his wife Becky, Chris, Caleb, Caleigh and Christin Crawford, Maddison Wingard, and Mason Palmer.
The family will host a visitation at Roller Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, AR, on Saturday, August 6 from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m, with a service following at 3:00 pm in the chapel. A graveside service will follow at White County Memorial, with a dinner reception for the family immediately afterwards at First Baptist Church, Kensett, AR.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church, Kensett AR building fund or to the Benicia Fellowship building fund in Benicia, California; the address which is in care of 1417 O'Hare Drive, Benicia California, 94510 or donations can be made online at www.beniciafellowship.com.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers, both personally and on social media. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the White River Area Agency on Aging, the staff at Seven Springs and the Pines nursing homes. A special thanks is also given to the staff at Domino's Pizza who went out of their way to serve Barbara these last few years.
Barbara was a kind and generous woman whose beautiful smile lit up the room. Her love for her family was unconditional and she valued her faith in the Lord above all else.
