I went to school with Fern from grade school through our graduation at Searcy High School. Fern was a good person, She was always friendly and well liked.by those who knew her. She became a good teacher who was well respected by the children in her classroom as well as by her co workers. I`m glad I can call her my friend.
In the fifties Miss Fern Pettus was my 4th grade teacher at Rose Bud School. I remember her as being very kind. Sorry to hear of her passing away.

Ms. Cason was my second grade teacher in Searcy in the early 1960's. I recall that she was very dedicated and caring, and that her students loved her and enjoyed her class.
Mrs. Cason was my 2nd grade teacher at McRae Elementary in Searcy, MANY years ago; she was one of my favorites. Had I known where she retired to, I would have tried to visit, or at least sent a letter, as I have wondered over the years what happened to her. Her family has my condolences for one fine teacher and person. She will be missed.
