Dortha Martin Wedeking, 85, of Troy, Tennessee, formerly of Searcy, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Union City, Tennessee.
She was born Sunday, May 19, 1929 in Conway, daughter of the late George and Mary (Swayze) Hegi. She married John Martin in 1947. He passed away in 1964. She then married Lee Wedeking in 1977. He passed away in 1995. She had been a supervisor for the Illinois Glove Factory in Beardstown, Illinois and was a member of the Church of Christ. She volunteered at White County Hospital in Searcy.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Mike McCage of Troy, TN, Sharon and Steve Battles of Springfield, IL and Tammy and Brent Behl of Southaven, MS; seven grandchildren and their spouses of six, Rachel and Jamie Clark, Andrea and Hunter Hoffman, Landen and Maggie McCage, Andrew and Kaylyn Polinski, Ebernay McCage, Bethany and Patrick Barnthson and Clinton and Kayla Battles; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Pruitt; and brother, G.L. Hegi.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Mateljan.
Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2015, 10:00-11:00AM, at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel (501)268-3546. Funeral service will begin at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Bowery Cemetery in Conway.
