Melvin Lee ''Mutt'' Moffitt, 88, of Joy, Arkansas went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2015. He was born Monday, January 10, 1927 in Joy, Arkansas to the late Jesse Lee and Bessie Jane Clay Moffitt.
During his life he worked for International Shoe Factory, Wilshire Billfold Factory and he was a farmer and a very helping neighbor. But most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lucille Moffitt and Eloise Townsend (Damous); and two brothers, Arthel ''Doc'' Moffitt (Pat) and Jewel Moffitt (Ruth).
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 66 years Kathleen K. Moffitt; a son, Ronnie Moffitt (Vikki) of LaGrange, Georgia; two daughters, Diane Runnels (Vurn) of Hazelwood, Missouri and Nancy Ouzts (Ronnie) of North Little Rock; four grandsons, Lucas Moffitt (Ashlee), Ben Morris (Jaclyn), Jesse Morris (Chandra) and Tyler Moffitt (Duncan); two sisters, Orean Taylor (Dale) of Judsonia and Mary Harris (Roger) of Searcy; two brothers, Elzie Moffitt (Mary Nell) and Clayton Moffitt (Pat) both of Searcy; and a host of other family and friends.
Family visitation will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 6:00-8:00PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home (501)268-3546. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 2:00PM at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Mutt was a very kind soft spoken man. I have know him for many years now & never heard a ugly word or ugly comment for him. Just a very sweet & kind man. Prayers for all the family.
