Jimmy Dale Poor, 58 of Letona, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Mr Poor was born November 7, 1956 to Mary Katherine and Roger Poor.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Brownfield-Poor, two sons, Jim Poor and wife Brandie of Beebe, Beau Poor of Truman, and a daughter, Ambur Poor-Bass and husband Brandon of Jonesboro, four grandchildren, Callie, Jayce, Jaxyn, and Phillip, and sisters, Debbie Helton, Cindy Brockus, Sheila Moreland, and a brother, Wayne Poor, other relatives and many friends.
Jimmy loved being the Fire Chief of Letona for 33 years, a First Responder and he loved to sing at his church, MT. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Academy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014 6-8 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2 PM at the West Race Baptist Church in Searcy.

Jimmy you are the best Chief either of us have ever had the pleasure to ever work for. It was an honor and privilege for us both. Rest easy Chief....We will take it from here.

Our loss is truly Heaven's gain. Jimmy is a precious friend. We have know Jimmy for 30+ years and we have truly been blessed by getting to spend the last few years singing and serving the Lord together at Mt Pleasant. Praying that Iris and the children find peace is Jimmy's powerful strength and faith.
I was saddened to hear that Jimmy had passed away. He was a very good person and I know he will be sorely missed by his family and all the people of Letona.

I worked with Jimmy for 8 years at Yarnell's. He was a wonderful christian man & I will always remember how nice he was to everyone. I will also remember him humming & singing while he worked. My thoughts & prayers go out to the family.

Jimmy's unwavering faith in the Lord was an inspiration to me. When I read his Facebook posts concerning his illness, ,he had such a positive outlook and praised God no matter what he had to endure. May God comfort and keep you in His care.
