Kermit was overflowing with love for the people in his life. He left an impression on my heart. I am so blessed to have known him. I can imagine him in heaven hugging everyone and telling them he loves them. He is truly home.

Well a Big hearted Soldier has gone home, and if any one was ready to go to Heaven was Curmit.

Curmit was one of the most special people you could ever meet. When John and I walked into the church the very first words that he would say to us was; "Hi Mr and Mrs Fain, how is Dwayne and where does he live?." He then would tell how much he loved Dwayne and would ask what is Dwayne doing.?

Curmit, loved gospel music a lot, his face would just glow with the Love of the Lord all shining in and out of him. Some people would shun him and I noticed that how they wouldn't speak to him. He never skipped a beat in speaking to everyone that would come through the door of the church. He should have been a door greeter at church, for he was going to welcome them any way.

Curmit I know you are enjoying walking the street of gold and enjoying being with Jesus and every one that you have studied in the Bible..

Curmit you are truly going to missed by a lot of people, but I am sure they are rejoicing with you as you are visiting with all the love ones and friends, and above all our Savior Jesus Christ. I wish we all had the LOVE that Curmit had for people, for he truly was a servant of Gods.
Thanks for being a friend.

He will be so missed, by all of his home health nurses. His smile, sweet personality, and always saying that he loved you, endeared him to everyone who knew him's heart. We all have a sweet angel looking over us now.

It is with shaken heart that we acknowledge the homegoing of our dear friend Curmit. I was introduced to Curmit via the telephone when I took the position of Postmaster of Osceola, when he would call every morning checking on the mail. Initially one would think such a daily call would be a nuisance but the sweet demeanor and sincere heart came through the phone lines like a healing and I looked forward to his early morning calls. When the phone rang, before I answered I would ask "Does Curmit have any mail."

At times I so anticipated the calls that I would not answer the phone with the official jargon, instead I would simply say "Good morning Curmit". Too which he would giggle and say "How did you know it was me?"

At a time when the mail was light, I wrote a letter just saying hello to him and I made copies of that letter instructing the carrier to deliver one each day Curmit did not get mail. This went on for a few weeks before Curmit called saying thank you for the letters Brian.

Curmit's calls not only came in the early morning hours, but he would call through out the day asking about the mail and those calls were still a delight. At some of the most stressing times, the Lord would have Curmit call to simply say Brian I love you and all my friends at the Post Office, have a nice day.
His sincere calls encouraged us all.

I noticed a few weeks ago that what I had dubbed "The Curmit Call" had subsided and my inquiry lead to the understanding he was no longer in his home. Regardless I continued to pray for him as I knew his love of his friends made him miss us something terrible. Upon hearing of his passing I thought of the gentle soul who touched so many lives by his sincere heartfelt hello's, his precious innocence and the joy he brought to so many lives...
