Sharlene L. Handley, 83, passed away March 11, 2017 in Newport. Born December 21, 1933 in Wardell, MO to the late Dale and Lena Ward, she was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Osceola and retired from American Greetings. She is survived by her son: Rick Handley of Beech Grove, AR; her daughter: Cynthia McCullar of Gravel Ridge, AR; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister: Ann Brown of Jacksonville, AR; and brothers: Danny Ward of Little Rock, AR and Wayne Ward of Searcy, AR. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Handley; parents; and brother: Carl Ward.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Handley passing. She was a very good woman. My Mom and her became really close in the Nursing home. They took up for each other. I sure will miss Mrs. Handley and I will never forget her. RIP sweet lady.

I am very sorry for your loss. I read the obituary and noticed the name of Ward. I come from a family from Osceola named Ward, Jacob Ward, he was my great-grandfather and married to Maude Moore. Have looked for relatives but never found any, please be in touch if you think you might be related.
