To our beloved father and husband Rev. Bobby Lloyd Tidwell, who went to join our Lord December 10, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Memphis. Born to Dorothy Jewell and Walter E. Tidwell in Osceola on March 9, 1947. He attended Osceola Schools, graduated from Dyess High School in 1965. Then served in Vietnam War and U S Army three years. He attended Pentecostal Bible Institute three years and returned home in 1969 to Osceola to pastor Bethel Church of The Lord Jesus Christ, he taught Bible College and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Theology. He pastored until his death. He is survived by his wife Linda Kay Powell Tidwell of 47 years, whom he married in 1969; Three sons: Philip (Christy) Tidwell, Stephen (Leslie) Tidwell and Ritchie (Gayla) Tidwell; daughter: Melissa (Dale) Cook; granddaughters: Haley Tidwell, Makayla Cook, Abigail Tidwell, Gabrielle Tidwell and Naomi Tidwell; grandsons: Gage Tidwell, Matthew Cook, Caleb Tidwell and Seth Tidwell; sister Norma Carpenter; brother: Malcolm Tidwell. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Ruth Tidwell Langston. Rev. Bobby Tidwell pastored for 42 years. We will be at a loss at Bethel Church as the congregation is left to mourn his passing. He was loved and served many friends, church members and many looked to him for guidance. He was a kind man and full of wisdom.

Bro Bobby pastored my family for many years. He was a great pastor and phenomenal preacher. His ministry left a great mark on this world. We will always love and appreciate the Tidwell family.
