My uncle skud, One of my fondest childhood memories were the times we spent as penpals. You taught me the importance of having an extensive and creative vocabulary. You would write, "Instead of using the boring word trip, why not look up the word jaunt and try using it next time you write me." You would use adjectives such as jovial and capacious and then ask me to use the words that I did not know in a sentence when I wrote him back. I remember those words like it was yesterday, and I still use the vocabulary that you taught me today. Amazing teacher, loving Uncle, great friend. I LOVE YOU!

My fond memory of Glen......elementary school....I worked for Mississippi County Bank and on Friday's I would go to the school before classes started for a program that we had for youngsters to learn to save money.....And Glen would always come to my desk and we would talk and laugh.....I am thinking maybe 2nd or 3rd grade....Then one day as it was time to go...All of sudden...Glen got right up close to me and gave me a big kiss on the check.....I loved it.....

I am so thankful to have had Skud in my life! He was my friend longer than any other, growing up across the street from each other, he is my first memory of a friend. So many hilarious memories for so many years! I am definitely going to miss his stories. I was happy tonight that I found one of his letters he had type written on July 24, 1992, when we were mailing each other trivia questions. Once more, I was laughing through my tears. I really wish I had saved all of his letters. Mary, Gail, Leigh Ann, and all of your family, I send you my heartfelt sympathy. Turk and Skud forever!

What a fantastic guy! Glen has been part of lots of fun memories my entire life. Football season won't be the same this year without his text messages and coaching opinions regarding our beloved Razorbacks. He also made the best martini I ever had! Heaven has gained a beloved angel.

Glen was definitely one of a kind. I only knew him for a few years, but it seemed as if it was longer. When I started teaching in the same building as Glen, we immediately hit it off and would discuss our Razorbacks daily. It will be extremely hard walking the halls knowing he will never grace them again. RIP and WPS!

Glen and I had a rocky start. It wasn't until we were both adults that we built a friendship. I will miss your stories and your humor. My prayers are with the family. Fly high my friend.
