Mae Gatewood, 75, of Osceola, AR passed away on December 2, 2014 in Memphis, TN. Born in Lepanto, AR on April 28, 1939 to the late Ed and Erie Steakley, she was a retired Babysitter and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Billy Gatewood; two sons: Randy (Minnie) Gatewood of Jonesboro, AR and Bubba Gatewood of Osceola, AR; two daughters: Penny (Troy) Matthews of Manila, AR and Billie (Chad) Bowman of Blytheville, AR; seven grandchildren: Mark Gatewood, Holly Nash, Troy Matthews Jr., Cori Matthews, Sydney Gatewood, Bari Brylee Collard and Blake Collard; two great-grandchildren: Mason Gatewood and Trae Nash; one sister Pat (Bobby) Ferrell of West Ridge, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Mildred Reagan, two brothers: Elvis Steakley and Everett Steakley.
Words can't begin to express our condolenses to you and the entire family! Some of our kids (April & Adam) fondest memories were of their wonderful "Mae". Mae took care of our children in their youth and our hearts and prayers go out to you during your time of loss.
Thank you Mae Gatewood, you were and always will be a special person in our lives!
