Jr. Cox, 68, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. Jr. was born on March 15, 1949 to the late Claudie William Cox, Sr. and Geneva (McDaniel) Cox in Dermott, Arkansas. Jr. was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for most of his life in drywall and farming. Jr. loved hunting, fishing, and anything that involved the outdoors. He was a member at Elizabeth Baptist Church and loved being involved in church and loved his church family. He was also a member of the fair board and Jr. never met a stranger. He loved his grandkids and his family with all of his heart and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Jr. is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dianna (Green) Cox; one son, Will Cox and wife Sarah; four daughters, Tammy Paternostro and husband Ben, Lisa Thornsberry and husband Brent, Misty Rentz and husband Jason, and Sara Ward and husband Tim; one brother, Mitchell Cox and wife Angela; grandchildren, Riley Thornsberry, Nick Ward, Kaden Huffman, Tucker Cox, Zane Cox, Joseph Rentz, and Brooklyn Rentz; close family friend, Jerry Younger; along with many extended family and friends.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Claudie William Cox, Sr. and Geneva (McDaniel) Cox.
A memorial service honoring Jr.'s life will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2018, 2:00 PM at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Randy Long officiating.
Military honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard and Stone County Honor Guard.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
