June 28, 1932 - December 28, 2017

Shirley Ann Rector age 85 of Mountain View, Arkansas passed on to her Heavenly reward on December 28, 2017. She was born June 28, 1932 in Topeka Kansas to the late George and Mary Messenger. She was of the Methodist faith.. She was preceded in death by Lee Tate Rector, her husband of over 50 years, sister Marion Messenger, son Dean Richard Rector, and grandson Shawn Hess. She graduated from Seaman High School in Topeka, KS in 1949 and met and married her love of her life Lee Rector. She worked 25 years at White Rogers in Batesville, Arkansas. She loved her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Randy Rector and wife Judy and Mark Rector and wife Jan both of Mt View: two daughters Marilee Forshee and husband Bill of Pittsburg, Texas and Brenda Schichtl and husband Ray of Conway; one brother-in-law Bob Rector and wife Carolyn of Melbourne; fourteen grandchildren, Ricky, Scott, Carl, Timmy, Tate and Allison Rector, Carrie Steele, Zebulon and Cody Schichtl, Wendy Storm, Kelly Burton, Christopher Hess, Greg and Stephen Forshee, 31 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, caretaker Lila Davis and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Saturday December 30 at 9:00 AM and Memorial service will follow at 10:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church the Brother Anthony Shipman officiating.
