Jerry Eugene Pope, 75, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his home. Jerry was born on January 16, 1941 in North Carolina to the late Earl and Maxine (Ritter) Pope. Jerry loved to fish and garden. Jerry made sure he planted a garden every year. Jerry also attended the Church of God. Jerry will be greatly missed by all of his loving friends and family.
Jerry is survived by one son, Dallas Pope; one daughter, Teresa Pope; five brothers, Danny Pope, Billy Pope and wife Dorothy, Tommy Pope and wife Mary, Ronnie Pope and wife Susan, and David Pope and wife Brenda; one sister, Rosemary Griffith and husband Dan; two grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Grady Pervis; nineteen nieces and nephews along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Maxine (Ritter) Pope; one brother, Bo Pope, and two sisters, Betty Rockwell and Joyce Pervis.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 21, 2016, from 9-10 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. The funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 10:00 AM with Brother Nick Callahan officiating. Interment will be at Sunnyland Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are William Zajac, Zack Zajac, Travis Zajac, David Hurd, and Randy Sartin.
