of Benton, AR
January 12, 1960 - October 3, 2015
Buford ''Boots'' Linville, 55, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on October 3, 2015 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas. Buford was born on January 12, 1960 in Lepanto, Arkansas to Joda Lee and Lilly Lois (House) Linville. Buford worked in construction for most of his life. He will be greatly missed by his many loving family and friends. He was a hard working man who worked until the day he died (which was way too soon at the young age of 55). He was a proud father who loved his children very much. And his grandchildren were icing on the cake.
He rarely let an opportunity go by that he wasn't trying to teach you something. He often said, "If you do something, do it the right way. Or it's not done." He put a lot of pride into his work and we suspect he is admiring the tile work in heaven right now.
He enjoyed watching western shows, playing darts, and cooking (his chicken and dumplings were the best!). He loved to ride his Harley. And if he wasn't riding it, he was cleaning it.
He was stubborn, lovable, likable, and hard as a rock. And he sure loved Mountain Dew.
He is survived by his mother, Lois Linville; three sons, Jason Linville and wife Jessica, Lee Linville and wife Andrea, and Christian ''Bubby'' Tullis-Linville; one daughter, Kaitlyn ''Brooke'' Tullis-Linville; four brothers, Jerry Linville, Ricky Linville, Jackie Linville, and Timmy Linville; three sisters, Jessie Pfeifer, Jeannie King, and Trish Linville; four grandchildren, Anna Kate, Eva, Grant, and Luke; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joda Lee Linville; one sister, Betty Lou Linville; nephews, Danny and Jimmy Linville, and one niece, Kayla Hess.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 6-8PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, 2:00PM at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Onia, Arkansas with Brother Tim Clark officiating. Interment will follow the service at Farris Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Lee Linville, Jason Linville, Timmy Linville, Rickie Linville, Jackie Linville, and Trent Langford. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy House and Scooter Pousson.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
I wish I would have known sooner, Buford was weighing on my heart today I hadn't heard anything in a long while, I was so saddened to see this today. I will miss him dearly as will my father, Danny. Prayers for his family.
We just found out that Buford has passed away suddenly on October 3rd, and are still in shock; Buford was a wonderful man, a hard worker, and an outstanding worker who could do anything. We had used him in the past many times and wanted him to tile our front porch and patio; we had discussed this earlier in the year, we knew he would do such good work. My daughter Monica used him on many projects, including a condo in Hot Springs that Buford helped her completely redo before she sold it. So Monica joins us in extending our heartfelt sympathy; we loved him and respected him, he will never be forgotten. We love you, Christiane and Harold Allison, and Monica and Stan Wilder
