Thelma Sloan, 84, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Stone County Nursing and Rehab in Mountain View, Arkansas. Thelma was born on March 7, 1930, in Parma, Arkansas to the late Jewel (Smith) Thomas. Thelma and her late husband Ray never had children of their own, but Thelma was a mother to anyone in need. Thelma was an LPN at Mountain View Hospital and the Stone County Nursing Home. She was a very hard working woman and wasn't afraid of getting her hands dirty. She has been known to do plumbing and electrical work, all kinds of repair work and deliver food and medicine to anyone who needed her. She will be greatly missed by many loving friends and family.

Thelma is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Thelma was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel (Smith) Thomas; husband, Ray Sloan; sisters, Geneva Thomas and Wilma Jessen; brothers, Frank Stephens and Elbert Stephens; one niece, Eulena Hale, and nephew Gary Stephens.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 1-2PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Graveside services will take place following the visitation at Case Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas beginning at 2:00PM with Brother Jerry Cary officiating. Interment will be at Case Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Wayne Newman, Daniel Stephens, Michael Stephens, Aubrey Sloan, Bo Sloan, and Leslie Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Poff and Richard Sturch.
