Jewel Shuttleworth, age 73, a long time resident of Mountain View, AR, died Friday, 2nd of January, 2015, in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
She was born on July 22, 1941 in Harrison, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Clyde and Wynona Horton. She was the oldest of two siblings, Jerry Horton and Randy Horton. She married Wayne Shuttleworth who preceded her in death.
Jewel loved taking care of her family and felt blessed to have spent most of her life as a homemaker and several years as a Floral Designer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View and was actively involved with her Sunday School Class. She enjoyed spending time with family, landscaping her yard, preparing floral arrangements for her church, and playing cards with friends.
Jewel is survived by her children: Paul Shuttleworth of Mountain View, Tim and Alison Shuttleworth of Beebe, and Ricky Shuttleworth of Mountain View. She is also survived by her two beautiful grand-daughters: Sydnye and Laine Shuttleworth of Beebe.
Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2015, from 6 8 pm at Roller Crouch Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Mountain View, AR with Brother Ray Brown officiating. Interment will be in Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Curt Decker, Darryl Sullivan, Junior Barham, Bobby Barham, Brad Breeding, and Phil Horton.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joel Breeding, Harold Lancaster, Kenneth Sutton, Jim Hinkle, Jim Cash.
Jewel Dean was a friend of mine since high school. Her fun lovling personality would brighten any occasion. I am sure many of you her age remembers her bright red convertible during high school. My thoughts are with her loved ones.
